Sikh Leader Submits Additional List of 1984 Riot Victims to Aid Compensation Efforts

Jasmeet Singh Sodhi provides 18 more names of 1984 riot victims to Satnam Singh Gambhir, pushing for justice and compensation.

Jasmeet Singh Sodhi handed over a new list of 18 victims of the 1984 Sikh riots to Satnam Singh Gambhir, East India President of All India Sikh Students Federation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Satnam Singh Gambhir, who is responsible for compiling lists of riot victims in Jharkhand, received 18 more names from Jasmeet Singh Sodhi.

Gambhir has been tasked by the Jharkhand High Court to compile district-wise lists of victims still awaiting compensation.

Following the High Court’s directive, Gambhir has been traveling across Jharkhand to document victims.

He recently visited Chas Gurdwara Sahib in Bokaro, where Jasmeet Singh Sodhi gave him a list of 52 victims.

Gambhir’s commitment to this cause is unwavering, as he continues to work tirelessly.

He aims to ensure that all victims’ families receive their rightful compensation.

During the visit, Gambhir reiterated his dedication to securing justice for all victims.

Numerous families affected by the riots, including those of Jasmeet Singh Sodhi, Inder Singh, Mandeep Singh, and Harpal Singh, were present.

Other attendees included Harpreet Singh, Satnam Singh, Ravindra Singh Khera, Kawaljit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, and Harbans Singh Saluja.

This initiative highlights the collective efforts to address the injustices faced by the victims of the 1984 Sikh riots.

The ongoing struggle for justice underscores the community’s resolve to ensure fair compensation.
