Dumaria Police Seize Spurious Liquor in Dumaria, Arrest Suspect

DSP Sandeep Bhagat Leads Operation, Recovering 52 Bottles of Fake Spurious Foreign Liquor and 20 Liters of Country Liquor

In a successful operation spearheaded by DSP Sandeep Bhagat, authorities uncovered a substantial quantity of counterfeit English liquor and country-made alcohol from Kumdashol in the Dumaria police station jurisdiction, leading to the arrest of accused Shyamcharan Tudu.

JAMSHEDPUR – Acting swiftly on confidential intelligence, a police team led by DSP Sandeep Bhagat conducted a raid in Kumdashol, within the Dumaria police station limits, resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of illicit liquor and the apprehension of the suspect.

The operation, carried out under the guidance of police station in-charge Sugana Munda and SI Rajesh Kumar, yielded a total of 52 bottles of fake English liquor and 20 liters of country-made alcohol, which were confiscated from the possession of the accused.

Following the successful raid, the accused was taken into custody and charged under sections 272, 273, and 290 of the Indian Penal Code, along with section 47(A) of the Excise Act.

Tudu was subsequently produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the illegal liquor trade.

The police’s proactive efforts in cracking down on the circulation of counterfeit and illicit alcohol demonstrate their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety in the region.

The confiscation of the fake English liquor and country-made alcohol is a significant step towards curbing the menace of illegal liquor production and distribution, which poses serious health risks to consumers.

DSP Sandeep Bhagat commended the team’s swift action and the successful execution of the operation, emphasizing the department’s resolve to take stringent measures against those involved in such unlawful activities.

The police have initiated further investigations to uncover any potential links or networks associated with the production and distribution of the seized counterfeit liquor.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to the illegal liquor trade, as community cooperation plays a crucial role in combating this menace effectively.
