Ananya Mittal, the District Election Officer and District Magistrate of East Singhbhum, convened a comprehensive review meeting to assess the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a proactive step to ensure seamless execution of the Lok Sabha polls, Ananya Mittal, the District Election Officer and DM of East Singhbhum, chaired a crucial meeting with top administrative and police officials.

The meeting, which saw the participation of the Senior Superintendent of Police and other key personnel, focused on various aspects of election management.

Mittal provided essential guidelines to the senior officers and in-charges of all the cells involved in the election process, emphasizing the importance of meticulous planning and coordination.

During the review, special attention was given to critical areas such as postal ballot voting, manpower management, and the timely payment of election personnel.

The readiness of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the availability of necessary materials were thoroughly examined to prevent any last-minute hiccups.

The meeting also delved into the logistics of vehicle allocation, the preparedness of the Public Works Department (PWD) cell, and the implementation of a comprehensive medical plan to handle any emergencies.

Mittal stressed the significance of addressing every aspect of the election process to guarantee a free, fair, and efficient conduct of the polls.

The review meeting served as a platform for the senior officials to raise concerns, discuss potential challenges, and devise strategies to tackle them effectively.

Officials said that with the Lok Sabha elections being a massive undertaking, the District Election Officer’s proactive approach in reviewing the preparations and providing guidance to the team demonstrates the administration’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the democratic process.

Sources added that as the countdown to the polls begins, the East Singhbhum district administration appears well-prepared to handle the logistical and operational challenges that lie ahead.
