Jamshedpur Election Control Rooms Operate Round-the-Clock

Jamshedpur Enhances Election Transparency with 24/7 Control Rooms

In a bid to ensure the integrity of the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Jamshedpur’s District Control Room and C-VIGIL Control Room are now operational 24×7.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur is ramping up efforts to maintain transparency and fairness in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2024, with round-the-clock operation of its District Control Room and C-VIGIL Control Room.

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal has initiated these measures to handle any complaints regarding violations of the Model Code of Conduct effectively.

Residents of the district can report any suspicious activity or breach of election guidelines through designated helpline numbers.

The helpline numbers provided for the District Control Room are 0657-2440111, 0657-2221717, and 0657-2221718.

Additionally, a Social Media Monitoring Cell has been set up to oversee online activities related to the elections, available at 9065166481 and 9708594491.

These initiatives underscore the commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections.

Election Integrity Measures

The establishment of these control rooms is part of a broader strategy to reinforce the electoral process against potential malpractices and ensure that the elections are conducted smoothly.

The Social Media Monitoring Cell, in particular, is a critical component in this era of digital campaigning, tasked with monitoring and addressing any issues arising from the misuse of online platforms during the election period.

This proactive approach by the Jamshedpur electoral office aims to foster a secure electoral environment, ensuring that every vote counts and the democratic process is upheld.
