The APR Nair Trophy cricket tournament, organized for school students in Mango, concluded on a high note on Sunday, with Mango XI emerging as the champions after a closely contested final. In a thrilling encounter, Mango XI edged past Nation Boys by a slim margin of seven runs to claim the coveted trophy.

JAMSHEDPUR – The APR Nair Trophy cricket tournament, a much-anticipated event for school students in Mango, reached its exhilarating conclusion on Sunday, with Mango XI securing a hard-fought victory in the final match.

In a nail-biting encounter that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, Mango XI managed to overcome a spirited challenge from Nation Boys, ultimately triumphing by a narrow margin of seven runs.

Manish Kushwaha, the star performer of Mango XI, played a pivotal role in his team’s success, delivering a scintillating half-century in the crucial final match.

His outstanding performance earned him the well-deserved accolade of Player of the Match, recognizing his significant contribution to Mango XI’s triumph.

The tournament also witnessed exceptional performances from other talented young cricketers, with Aryan being honored as the Player of the Tournament for his consistent brilliance throughout the competition.

Aryan’s remarkable skills and dedication on the field were instrumental in his team’s progress, earning him this prestigious recognition.

The organizers also acknowledged the outstanding efforts of individual players in various aspects of the game.

Akbar was recognized as the Best Fielder of the tournament, showcasing his agility and sharp reflexes on the field.

Nikhil was awarded the title of Best Bowler for his impressive bowling spells that often left the opposition batsmen struggling.

Rishu, on the other hand, was crowned as the Best Batsman of the tournament, thanks to his consistent run-scoring abilities and match-winning performances.

The award distribution ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed social workers, including Dr. Afroz Shakeel, Rashid, and Sanjay Tudu.

Coaches Ajay Das, Lucky Soren, and Mohd. Shahnawaz were also in attendance, having played a crucial role in mentoring and guiding the young cricketers throughout the tournament.

With a total of nine school teams participating, the APR Nair Trophy witnessed fierce competition and showcased the immense talent possessed by the budding cricketers in the region.
