Jamshedpur Businessman’s Wife Shot Dead by Criminals Near Kandarbera Chowk

Police suspect extortion as motive, investigation underway to nab the culprits

In a shocking incident, Jyoti Agarwal, the wife of Jamshedpur businessman Ravi Agarwal, was shot dead by criminals near Kandarbera Chowk on NH-33 while the couple was returning from the highway towards the city.

JAMSHEDPUR – The tragic event unfolded when the businessman and his wife were confronted by the criminals, who stopped their car and threatened them with a pistol.

As the couple resisted the criminals’ attempts, the assailants opened fire, hitting Jyoti Agarwal in the head.

Ravi Agarwal immediately rushed his critically injured wife to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where doctors declared her dead.

The police suspect that the motive behind the crime could be extortion, as Ravi Agarwal owns a shop in Bhuinyadih, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station.

City SP Mukesh Lunayet confirmed the incident, stating that the couple was returning from Mini Punjab Dhaba in MGM police station area when their car broke down just ahead of Kanderbera Chowk.

As Ravi Agarwal stepped out to repair the car, the criminals approached from the other side and shot his wife.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are actively searching for the criminals involved in this heinous crime.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the business community and residents of Jamshedpur, raising concerns about the safety and security of individuals in the city.

The tragic loss of Jyoti Agarwal’s life has left her family and loved ones devastated, as they grapple with the senseless act of violence.
