Fabricated Story, Meticulous Planning: How Ravi Aggarwal Got Netted

Plywood Businessman Arrested for Murdering Wife on National Highway

Ravi Aggarwal Allegedly Hired Shooters, Staged Scene to Implicate Criminals; However, Police Managed to Crack the Murder Mystery Within A Short Time.

JAMSHEDPUR – According to the police, Ravi Aggarwal had meticulously planned the murder of his wife.

He first gave liquor to Jyoti Aggarwal at Mini Punjab Hotel near Baliguma and then stopped the car on the National Highway, where the murder took place.

Shooters Hired and Staged Scene

The police investigation revealed that Ravi Aggarwal’s driver, Mukesh Mishra, a resident of Babudih Lal Bhatta in Sidhgora police station area, was present at the spot with the shooter and two other accomplices, Pankaj Kumar Sahni and Rohit Kumar Dubey, in a Swift car.

After the murder, the shooter fled the scene, and Mukesh Mishra drove the accomplices away in the car, while Ravi Aggarwal took his wife to TMH.

Fabricated Story Unravels

At the hospital, Ravi Aggarwal fabricated a story, claiming that he was being demanded extortion money and that his wife was murdered for not paying.

However, the police found several inconsistencies in his story, including the lack of a specific criminal’s name in the extortion demand form and the unlikely scenario of a criminal stopping at a predetermined location on the National Highway.

Victim’s Father Files Complaint

The case took a turn when the deceased’s father filed a complaint at the police station, naming Ravi Aggarwal as the murderer.

The police then interrogated Ravi Aggarwal’s children and picked up Mukesh Mishra, followed by Ravi Aggarwal himself.

During the interrogation, the layers of the murder plot were revealed.

Shooters Paid Rs 16 Lakh

Seraikela SP Manish Toppo, in a press conference at the auto cluster of Adityapur on Monday, stated that the shooters were given a contract of Rs 16 lakh for the murder.

He also revealed that an earlier attempt to kill Jyoti Aggarwal by slitting her throat had failed, and Ravi Aggarwal had taken back Rs 7 lakh from the shooters, with Rs 1 lakh remaining with them.

Marital Discord and Previous Murder Attempt

The police investigation also uncovered that Ravi Aggarwal and Jyoti Aggarwal had been experiencing marital discord for about two and a half years, with frequent fights between them.

During a recent trip to Gangtok, Ravi Aggarwal had allegedly tried to strangle Jyoti Aggarwal, but a compromise was reached later.

Jyoti Aggarwal had been staying at her maternal home and had only recently returned to her husband’s house after a compromise.
