Tragedy Strikes at Birsa Agricultural University: B.Tech Student Dies

Ruckus at RIMS, Family Demands High-Level Probe into Student’s Death

A distressing incident at Birsa Agricultural University in Ranchi saw demands of a high-level investigation following the uproar caused by the death of B.Tech student Rupesh Kumar Ojha, with family alleging negligence.

RANCHI – The death of Rupesh Kumar Ojha, a student from Birsa Agricultural College, has led to significant unrest among students and his family, with allegations pointing towards negligence by the university’s administration.

An uproar was caused by the family members today at RIMS too demanding a high level enquiry into the death.

Initially, it was reported that Ojha died of a heart attack, but subsequently the family claimed that a possible altercation at the college preceding his hospital admission may have been the cause.

His family, particularly distraught, has been vocally demanding justice outside RIMS’s Trauma Center, seeking a thorough investigation into the matter.

The sequence of events leading to Ojha’s death began with initial reports of a heart attack late Saturday night, after which both the university’s management and emergency medical services were alerted.

Despite these efforts, the ambulance arrived three hours later, by which time Ojha had already passed away, the students claimed.

This delay, the students claimed, coupled with the management’s tardy response, arriving two hours postmortem, has sparked outrage among the student community.

The students’ grievances highlighted the lack of essential services on campus, including ambulances, and a general disregard by the university’s management, especially during nighttime.

The students’ reaction to the incident was immediate and filled with anger towards the university’s administration.

Their protests and slogans within the campus reflected a deep dissatisfaction with the existing infrastructure and emergency response mechanisms.

They have emphasized the critical absence of an ambulance service on such a vast campus, a factor they believe could have saved Ojha’s life.

This tragic event has left the student body in fear and distrust towards the institution’s ability to safeguard their well-being.

Demands for Justice

The family’s protest outside RIMS continued as it pressed for the demand for a high-level investigation, aiming to uncover the truth behind Ojha’s untimely demise and ensure accountability.

Campus Unrest

The incident has not only led to mourning but also sparked a significant outcry from Ojha’s peers, who criticize the university for its apparent lack of preparedness and concern for student welfare.
