TRF Blood Donation Drive Surpasses Goals

Record blood donations at TRF’s Navjeevan camp support summer season needs

Second Navjeevan blood donation camp by TRF collects 234 units, demonstrating strong volunteerism and community support.

JAMSHEDPUR – The TRF Ladies Association, in partnership with the Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association (VBDA), successfully hosted the second edition of the biannual blood donation camp, ‘Navjeevan’, on March 15, 2024, at the TRF company premises.

This year’s event saw an unprecedented collection of 234 units of blood, setting a new record for the initiative and significantly contributing to the increased demand for blood during the summer season.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from a diverse group of stakeholders, including TRF employees, key members of the Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union, the TRF Ladies Association (TRFLA), and distinguished office bearers.

This collective effort underscored the strong culture of volunteerism within the organization and its associates.

The inauguration of the ‘Navjeevan’ camp featured prominent figures from TRF management such as Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director, Mr. Abhijeet Singh, CHRO, Mr. V K Singh, GM- Manufacturing and Projects, alongside Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, President, and Mr. M H Hiramaneek, General Secretary of the Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union.

Ms. Sweta Gupta of the TRFLA played a pivotal role during the inauguration, encouraging participants to contribute to the noble cause of blood donation.

Ms. Gupta’s address was a highlight of the inauguration, attended by senior executives of the company, members of the TRFLA, and committee members of the TRF Labour Union.

Her words served not only as a welcome to the guests but also as a powerful call to action, urging all stakeholders to support the life-saving initiative through blood donation.

The success of the ‘Navjeevan’ blood donation camp reflects the strong commitment of the TRF community to making a difference in the lives of those in need, especially during critical times when the demand for blood surges.
