CM Inaugurates Newly Constructed Jaherthan in Kuludih during Baha Festival
Chief Minister Champai Soren reiterated the Jharkhand government’s commitment to preserving the language, culture, and religious heritage of tribal and indigenous communities in the state, while speaking at the inauguration of the nature festival Baha.
SERAIKELA – The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren said that his government would do everything to ensure that the cultural legacy of Jharkhand is preserved at any cost.
He was speaking at the Sarna Puja Sthal Jaher Than in Jilinggora, his native village, in Seraikela district. Speaking on the occasion of inauguration of Baha festival, he said that the state has a rich tapestry of cultural traditions and it should be kept intact.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including CM’s Secretary Arava Rajkamal, Press Advisor Chanchal Goswami, Commissioner Hari Kumar Kesri, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar Toppo, and various other officials and community leaders.
During the event, CM Champai Soren addressed the villagers in the newly constructed hall of Jaherthan, underlining the importance of preserving tribal culture and traditions.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed Jaherthan equipped with modern amenities in Kuludih, amidst a warm welcome by villagers dressed in traditional tribal attire.
CM Soren visited the Jaher police station near his ancestral residence to offer prayers for the Baha festival. He commenced his participation in the festival by landing at the helipad at Jilingora ground, where he received a guard of honor from the Seraikela district police administration.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Baha Parv, expressing gratitude towards the people for their long-standing struggle to safeguard their language, culture, and religious sites.
Highlighting the significance of the Baha festival, Soren described it as a reflection of tribal tradition and culture, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to cordon off and beautify all Jaherthans across Jharkhand.
