Tata Steel and MTMH Finalize Employee Grade Revision Agreement

The recent agreement between Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital and Tata Steel brings significant financial benefits to employees, highlighting a commitment to their welfare and development.

JAMSHEDPUR – A landmark grade revision agreement for Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) employees, in partnership with Tata Steel, was finalized, promising enhanced financial benefits for the staff.

The agreement, effective from January 1, 2021, to February 21, 2024, assures monthly salary increases ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 for 70 employees, marking a significant step in employee welfare.

In March, employees are slated to receive arrears amounting to between Rs 2.10 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh, underscoring the retrospective application of the pay hike.

Key figures in the agreement’s signing include MTMH Chairman Dr. RN Sharma, Union President Rakeshwar Pandey, and other distinguished representatives from both the hospital and the union.

The agreement also introduces provisions for educational loans up to Rs 2 lakh for employees’ children, promoting further educational pursuits.

A notable feature of the agreement is the inclusion of time-bound promotions, ensuring career progression for the hospital’s dedicated workforce.

Additionally, the agreement provides for special bonuses for long-serving employees, with increments based on tenure, rewarding loyalty and service to the hospital.
