Ambuja Cements to Launch Major Project in Jharkhand

Rs. 1000 Cr Investment to Set Up New Cement Unit

Ambuja Cements announces a significant investment in Jharkhand, aiming to establish a 4.0 MTPA cement grinding unit in Motia Village, Godda district.

RANCHI – The project, pending necessary approvals, is strategically located near Adani Power (Jharkhand) Limited, aligning with eco-friendly fly ash disposal and circular economy principles.

This initiative marks Ambuja Cements’ continuous effort in adopting sustainable practices and promoting inclusive growth in the region.

With the creation of over 2,500 jobs, the unit is expected to play a pivotal role in Jharkhand’s economic and social enhancement.

Ambuja Cements already has a significant presence in the state, with two plants totaling a production capacity of 6 MTPA.

CEO Ajay Kapur expressed optimism about the project’s potential to contribute to the area’s socio-economic development.

The expansion reflects Ambuja Cements’ confidence in Jharkhand’s growth prospects and its commitment to the community’s welfare.
