Ananya Mittal Calls for Enhanced Coordination in Development and Health Campaigns

District leadership emphasizes quality in development and participation in filariasis eradication.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Mittal, the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, has underscored the necessity for accelerated development projects and rigorous health initiatives.

In a Collectorate Auditorium meeting, key officials reviewed progress and outlined future steps.

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, among others, participated.

The meeting focused on ensuring the success of public welfare and development schemes.

Special emphasis was placed on the Chief Minister State Old Age Pension Scheme targeting women and ST/SC individuals aged 50-60.

Panchayat-wise camps for the pension scheme are planned from February 20 to 22, 2024.

A publicity campaign is scheduled from February 14 to 19 to spread awareness.

Officials were tasked with ensuring that all eligible for the pension scheme are reached.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of quality in executing development projects.

The Abu housing scheme’s verification process was stressed, aiming for 100% physical verification.

The livestock development scheme’s slow progress was noted, with calls for increased beneficiary awareness.

Officials were urged to speed up the implementation of various departmental schemes.

The filariasis eradication campaign, running from February 10 to 25, seeks widespread medication uptake.

Residents are encouraged to participate actively in the health campaign for better outcomes.

The district aims to reach 85% of the population with DEC and Albendazole medication.

Physical verification of Abu housing applications is a priority, ensuring benefits reach the intended recipients.
