The ceremony was held in the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan.

After the ceremony, Soren paid tribute at Birsa Chowk and Sido Kanhu Udyan.

The event follows the resignation of Hemant Soren.

Governor Radhakrishnan highlighted the government’s duty towards the poor.

Champai Soren had requested an early swearing-in following his claim to form the government.

The Governor invited Soren for the oath taking late on 1 February.

The new government paid tribute to tribal heroes Sido-Kanhu and Lord Birsa Munda.
