Tata Steel Announces TCIL Merger, Launches Tinplate Division Council
Following its merger, The Tinplate Company of India Ltd (TCIL) becomes a division under Tata Steel Ltd, with a new business council established.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Tinplate Company of India Ltd (TCIL) has officially merged into Tata Steel Ltd, resulting in significant organizational changes.
TCIL is now functioning as a division within Tata Steel, marking a new chapter in its operational history.
Tata Steel’s Managing Director, TV Narendran, issued a circular announcing the formation of the Tinplate Division Business Council.
This council comprises 17 members and is tasked with overseeing the division’s operations.
Kaushik Chatterjee, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Tata Steel, has been appointed as the chairperson of this new council.
Prabhat Kumar, VP of Marketing and Sales, will serve as the alternate chairperson.
The council includes notable figures such as VPHRM Atrai Sanyal, Chief Anil Kumar Pujari, Chief Dev Jyoti Rai, Kesari Kumar, Kishore Tar, PK Mishra, and Pashufuleti Anand.
Other members are Prateek Chatterjee, Tinplate’s EIC RN Murthy, Rajeev Kumar Choudhary, Santosh Anthony, Sonam Ranjan, Jim Tinplate Works’ Shaurya Jyoti Dev, Vinay Vasant Mahashabde, and Conveyor Swaroop Chatterjee.
This merger and the establishment of a dedicated business council signify a strategic move by Tata Steel to streamline operations and enhance the performance of its tinplate division.
