Persistent Thefts at Abhijeet Company in Kharsawan; Seraikela Police Arrest One

Seraikela Police in action as theft continues at closed Abhijeet company in Kharsawan; one caught stealing aluminum plastic copper wire, others absconding.

SERAIKELA – In Govindpur of Kharsawan district, the process of theft from Abhijeet company, which has been closed for years, has not stopped despite efforts.

Scrap is being stolen from here almost on a daily basis.

So far dozens of thieves have been sent behind bars by the police of Saraikela and Kharsawan, yet the process of theft continues in the company.

Last night Seraikela police station in-charge Nitish Kumar got a tip-off that aluminum, plastic and copper wire was being stolen from Abhijeet company by unknown thieves.

Soon after that the station in-charge Nitish Kumar immediately directed the police officer Banarasi Das to take necessary action.

The thieves engaged in cutting aluminum wire with the help of cutters tried to escape.

An attempt was made by the police team to chase them and catch them, but all the unidentified thieves managed to escape by taking advantage of the shrubbery and the road inaccessible for vehicles.

The villagers however, revealed the names of suspects.

The wire and iron cutter recovered from the spot were brought to the police station by the police.

After this, one person S Barik was arrested and sent to judicial custody while registering an FIR on the statement of Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Banarasi Das.

While another named P Barik and other accused are being searched by the police.
