Youth in Marital Dispute Allegedly Commits Suicide in Sonari Jamshedpur

Local youth named Bhim Singh, embroiled in marital issues, found dead at home in Jamshedpur’s Sonari area, family alleges marital problems led to suicide.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tragedy struck Kumharpada Bengali Basti in Jamshedpur’s Sonari area when Bhim Singh, a young local resident, took his own life.

He was found hanging in his deserted home, a sight that startled the local residents who discovered the grim scene early in the morning.

Swiftly responding to the family’s distress call, the police arrived at the scene.

They subsequently lowered Singh’s lifeless body and dispatched it for a post-mortem examination.

According to Jitendra Singh, Bhim’s uncle, the deceased had been entangled in a marital dispute with his wife for the past two years.

His wife had been living at her maternal home in Bagbera amidst the ongoing discord.

Relatives said that a recent visit by him to their child at her in-law’s place had escalated tensions, where he was allegedly subjected to physical abuse.

From that incident onwards, Bhim Singh was plagued by depression.

The family members allege that this continuous mental torment, sparked by wife’s apathy, led him to the unfortunate act of suicide.

On the other hand, the deceased’s wife has accused her in-laws of being responsible for his death and making it look like a suicide.

She also made some serious allegations against her in-laws and alleged harassment at their hand.

However, the police are still looking into all aspects of the case.
