Convoy driver P Kumar, a resident of Barigoda under Parsudih police station in Jamshedpur, committed suicide last night by hanging himself from an electric pole, following a domestic dispute.

JAMSHEDPUR – P Kumar, a convoy driver from Barigoda under Parsudih police station, took his own life last night by hanging himself from an electric pole 200 meters away from his house.

The suicide was reportedly triggered by a domestic dispute.

Local residents informed the police about the incident.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem.

P Kumar was known to be a drug addict.

He returned home late at night in an intoxicated state.

Around 1 o’clock in the night, he removed a curtain from the house and fashioned it into a noose to hang himself.

The police have begun investigating the matter.

The incident has shocked the local community, highlighting the severe impact of substance abuse and domestic issues.

Authorities are gathering more information to understand the circumstances leading to the suicide.
