Theft incidents in Jamshedpur increase with the latest strike on Madhuri Cloth Store in Bagbera, where goods worth Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3000 in cash were stolen.
JAMSHEDPUR – Theft incidents are rapidly becoming commonplace in various areas of Jamshedpur.
The criminals, in their successive plans, seem unstoppable.
The latest theft incident has been reported from the Bagbera police station area, where thieves targeted Madhuri Cloth Store on DB Road and made away with goods worth around Rs. 1 lakh.
Along with the clothes, thieves also made away with Rs. 3000 in cash kept in the shop’s counter.
Manoj Gupta, the owner of Madhuri Cloth Store located on the main road of DB Road, under the jurisdiction of Bagbera police station, closed his shop on Monday night and returned home.
In the morning, the owner of a nearby hotel informed him about the theft in his shop.
Both the shutter locks were missing, and clothes were scattered around.
After entering his shop, Gupta found that the thieves had taken goods worth about Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3,000 kept in the counter.
Gupta has lodged a complaint about this at the Bagbera police station.
Police visited the scene for an investigation but found no clues due to the malfunctioning of the nearby CCTV cameras.
Meanwhile, the police declined to comment on the matter, stating that the investigation is ongoing.
