Elderly resident dies in a tragic lift accident at Shyam Kunj apartment, triggering police investigation.
JAMSHEDPUR – An unfortunate incident occurred in the Shyam Kunj apartment under the jurisdiction of the Sitaramdera police station in Jamshedpur, where a 60-year-old man named Munshiram Karuva lost his life in a lift accident.
Munshiram, a resident of Devnagar, was critically injured after falling from the lift in the apartment complex.
According to eyewitness reports, the lift was malfunctioning.
Munshiram opened the gate from the top floor intending to step into the lift.
However, the lift was not in place and he plummeted into the empty lift shaft.
This incident caused his death.
Bystanders immediately rushed him to MGM Hospital, but the medical staff could only declare him dead upon arrival.
The police were promptly informed of the tragic accident and arrived at the scene.
They are currently investigating the case in depth.
Family members disclosed that Munshiram had gone to drop the children for tuition and was returning home when the tragic accident occurred.
Munshiram was employed at a local scrap warehouse.
