Review Meeting for Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Water Harvesting Initiatives Convened

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar discusses the status of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and water harvesting initiatives in a review meeting.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar convened a review meeting on Saturday, discussing the status of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and water harvesting initiatives in the district, on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav.

In light of environmental, social, and rural development, the Deputy Development Commissioner authorized the DFO-Social Forestry to establish, protect, and maintain forests, and to plant more trees on bare lands. He emphasized the need for more effective implementation of the efforts being made by both the federal and state governments to protect the environment and the water supply.

The Deputy Development Commissioner underscored the importance of creating action plans at district, subdivision, and block levels to ensure the initiatives are carried out in the most effective manner.

This is crucial to furthering the environmental protection efforts and ensuring the success of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and water harvesting initiatives.
