Union Minister Arjun Munda and former Chief Minister Raghubar Das met to discuss BJP’s future plans for the 2024 Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
JAMSHEDPUR – Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, and former state chief minister and national vice president of the BJP, Raghubar Das, held a meeting on Thursday at Munda’s residence in New Delhi.
The political stalwarts conversed about the current political climate at both the state and national levels.
According to sources, the party officials discussed the BJP’s strategy ranging from the 2024 Lok Sabha and assembly elections to strengthening the party’s foothold in Jharkhand.
Political experts have indicated that the BJP’s central leadership recently handed over the state’s BJP reigns to Babulal Marandi, the influential state leader and its first chief minister.
In connection with this, key figures related to the state have initiated to solidify the party by encouraging communication and coordination among themselves.
The meeting between Raghubar Das and Arjun Munda has garnered significant attention in political circles, fueling the belief that the state BJP will move forward into election mode fully unified.
Notably, Babulal Marandi had earlier met with Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Arjun Munda during his visit to New Delhi. Marandi and Munda had an extensive discussion on the political scenario at the official residence in New Delhi. Raghubar Das has now taken the mutual dialogue process further.
Raghubar Das was also leading a team that conducted an organizational investigation into the police lathicharge incident involving BJP activists in Patna.
Das was appointed as the convener of the inquiry team formed by the party’s central leadership. Alongside him were Palamu MP BD Ram and Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, a renowned Bhojpuri singer.
The team, under Raghubar’s guidance, submitted the Patna Lathicharge inquiry report to BJP National President JP Nadda in New Delhi.
