Jamshedpur Police Arrest Seven in Mango Gang Warfare Investigation

In a major breakthrough, Jamshedpur police have arrested seven individuals involved in a recent violent gang clash in Mango, Jamshedpur, with a significant haul of arms and ammunition seized.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city police recently launched an investigation into a firing incident linked to a strife for supremacy between two rival gangs in Mango, Jamshedpur.

As a result, the police have arrested a total of seven individuals, and have recovered an array of arms and cartridges from their possession.

The Arrest and Investigation

Two days ago, the entire area near the fish market under the Mangu police station jurisdiction was thrown into panic when two gangs clashed.

The violent encounter led to a fierce exchange of gunfire between the gangs. Acting promptly on orders, a team was formed under the leadership of the Rural SP, which included the in-charge of Mango police station, Sitaramdera police station, and Sakchi police station.

Along with sub-inspectors of all three police stations, the team succeeded in arresting six criminals from the Kundan Singh alias Bhondu gang and one from the innocent Manish gang.

Recovered Arms and Arrested Individuals

The police were successful in seizing two country-made kattas, one country-made pistol, five live cartridges, several mobile phones, and the motorcycle used during the incident from the arrested individuals.

The district’s SSP shared that Kundan Singh and Mashuk Manish, both residents of Ulidih, led the arrested gangs.

Both gangs were trying to establish their control over the fish traders, which resulted in the violent confrontation.

Among the arrested are Aman Thakur, Jitendra Sahu, Akash Namta, Pankaj Singh, Rakesh Singh from Kundan Singh’s gang, and Ankesh Kumar from Mashuk Manish’s gang.

Significance of the Arrest

Several of the arrested individuals have a criminal history, with numerous cases registered against them in various police stations across Jamshedpur.

The SSP declared their arrest as a significant achievement for the district police, helping to enhance security and peace in the region.
