Jamshedpur: Police Arrest Two for Firing Incident in Ramnagar, Mango

Suspects Apprehended for Attempted Extortion and Firing at Local Shop

In a significant development, the police have arrested two individuals linked to a firing incident in the Ramnagar area of Mango, under the Ulidih OP jurisdiction.

JAMSHEDPUR – The suspects, identified as Vivek Tiwari from Subhash Colony and Akash Giri from Laxman Nagar, were involved in an attempted extortion at a local shop.

City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat reported that on April 5, Tiwari and Giri demanded beer money from shopkeeper Baidhnath Kumar Sahu and resorted to firing when he refused.

The police confiscated a country-made pistol, two live bullets, a magazine, and the motorcycle used during the crime.

A third accomplice, Anees Rajak, was already jailed on April 8 in connection with this case.

The latest arrests occurred on Friday, with both suspects now facing legal proceedings.
