Parsudih Property Dispute Escalates to Domestic Violence

A feud over inheritance escalates into a physical altercation between a son and his mother in Parsudih, Shankarpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a recent episode of family discord in Shankarpur, Parsudih, a son allegedly assaulted his mother due to a disagreement over property rights.

The mother, Renu Devi, a retired government worker, and her son, C Sharma, are locked in a dispute over her retirement funds.

On Wednesday morning, Sharma arrived home and initiated a heated altercation on the street.

Post this disturbing event, Sharma’s sister-in-law, P Sharma, lodged a written complaint at the Parsudih police station.

The complaint reveals that Sharma, who works for Tata Steel Long Products, had previously filed a lawsuit against his mother over property rights, which he lost.

Currently, he is seeking a portion of his mother’s retirement funds, a demand she refuses to acquiesce to.

This refusal is allegedly the root cause of Sharma’s frequent home visits and ensuing quarrels.
