World Environment Day Celebrated with Tree Planting at U.M. School Bhatia Basti

UM School Bhatia Basti marks World Environment Day with a tree plantation event, highlighting the need for afforestation to combat global warming.

JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5th, 2023, an enthusiastic tree planting initiative took place at the U.M. School Bhatia Basti.

All teachers, children, and trainee women teachers from various B Ed institutes actively participated in the event, underscoring the significance of the environment and the role of afforestation.

As a part of the program, the children and teachers were administered an oath, emphasizing the importance of treating each tree as precious as their own offspring.

This symbolic act was geared towards nurturing a sense of responsibility towards nature, encouraging the participants to foster the growth of the planted trees.

In the wake of increasing environmental uncertainties due to global warming, the event sought to underscore the urgency for balancing industrialization with afforestation.

This equilibrium is critical for securing the future and protecting the earth from further environmental imbalance.

The initiative was attended by Principal Teacher Gopesh Thakur, Principal of DBMS College Dr. Juhi Samarpita, assistant teachers Rekha Rani Pratima Dutta, Renu Singh, and Varun Chatterjee, along with all trainee teachers.
