Female home guard jawan killed in Seraikela; BJP demands arrests. Namrata Samad shot near CRPF camp, village mourns. Law and order concerns rise.

Seraikela: A 35-year-old female home guard jawan, Namrata Samad, was shot dead near a CRPF camp in Kuchai, Seraikela, spreading panic in the area.

The incident occurred late on Friday evening, and the victim was declared dead upon arrival at Kuchai Primary Health Center. Namrata ran a beauty parlor, sewing-cutting center, and stationery shop to support her family.

Her sister, Manisha Samad, said that Namrata had no known enemies and was a sociable and strong-willed woman.

Sources suggest that the murder might be related to an affair, but no official confirmation has been provided.

Police recovered a country-made “katta” (gun) from the crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

BJP District President Vijay Mahato strongly condemned the incident and demanded that the criminals be arrested within 24 hours.

He warned that the party would protest and possibly close the Kuchai market if the demand is not met, raising concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

The village is in mourning following the tragic event.
