BJP demands degree college in Khadiasai area

Jamshedpur: BJP has lent its voice to the long standing demand for a degree college in Khadiasai area of Potka block of Jamshedpur.

A BJP delegation met the Deputy Commissioner of Jamshedpur today and submitted a memorandum with a request to take immediate action on the demand. The delegation was being led by Upendra Nath Sardar, the MP’s representative. He was accompanied by a group of BJP workers too.

Later, the MP representative Upendra Nath Sardar said that in the year 2013 a decision was taken to open a degree college in Khadiasai area.

He said that the proposal was okayed by the Gram Sabha and it was stressed that other civic facilities including police station, hospital and a market are all available at the site and that is the reason that particular site was selected for the college.

However, he said that several other sites were also proposed and were being considered for the construction of degree college.

He insisted that the Khariasai site was the best for the proposed degree college and the government should start construction of the same as soon as possible without further delay.
