A middle-aged woman was found hanging in her house in Sahara City Mango. Her housemaid reported to neighbours that she was not opening the door. Later, the police found her hanging from ceiling fan.
Jamshedpur: In a tragic development, a 45-year-old woman, identified as N Singh, a resident of Sahara City under Mango police station of Jamshedpur, reportedly was found hanging from ceiling fan in her house last night.
The incident came to light when Joshna Singh, a woman working in the house for three years, reached for work on Tuesday morning.
After the door was not opened despite repeated knocking at the door, she contacted the neighbours. The locals, later, informed the police.
A police team arrived and broke open the door. They found that the woman hanging from the ceiling fan.
The Mango police station in-charge Vinay Kumar said after preliminary investigation that they were informed that a woman in Sahara City house was not opening the door of the house. After breaking the door, they found her hanging from the ceiling.
The police, reportedly, also found a suicide note.
The police said that the woman was very upset. She has two grown-up children. Both live with her husband. The woman’s husband is the Deputy Commandant of BSF in Punjab.
The family has been informed by the police.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the family members on their arrival here.
J Singh, the house help, said that she has been working in the house of the deceased for the last 3 years.
She said that when the door was not opened, she informed the neighbours.
After that the people of the society informed the police about it. She said that the deceased was a gentle woman.
