Excise department busts illicit liquor factory in Kadma Green Park area

Jamshedpur: Acting on a tip-off, the Excise Department of Jamshedpur raided and busted an illicit liquor factory near Green Park under the jurisdiction of Kadma police station and seized around 40 litres of spirit and wrappers and other materials to be used in manufacture and trade of illicit liquor.

The Excise Department has also taken into custody a woman for interrogation. The department feels that a liquor mafia has hand behind the factory.

The Excise department officials said that the drive against illicit liquor would continue even in future.

Asked about how a mini liquor factory was being run right in the middle of the township, Excise Department official said that the department takes action whenever it received information about such activities. He appealed to the common people to remain aware and provide information to the department whenever they have something about illicit liquor manufacture or trade.
