Contractual Health Workers postpone strike, resume work

Health Minister Banna Gupta’s intervention works, big relief for patients

Ranchi: The striking contractual health workers have postponed their strike at the intervention of Health Minister of Jharkhand Banna Gupta. They have returned to work from Friday evening.

However, the contractual para medical employees said that they have not ended their strike, but have postponed it in the interest of the public.

They also said that the government has agreed to several demands and has assured them that a positive initiative would be taken on other demands.

The Health Minister Banna Gupta said that if a member of the family gets unhappy then the family convinces him once again.

He said that the para medical workers have ended the strike on the request of the government and we thank them for this. He said that positive initiative would be taken on their demands. But, this is the time to fight Covid crisis. Later, we would resolve all the issues, he said.

Earlier, the CM Hemant Soren had asked the Health Minister and other officials to hold meeting and take steps to end the strike.

The postponement of NHRM employees’ strike has come as a big relief to the health sector in the state. The strike was causing a lot of problems to the patients.
