ICSE extends date for submitting choice for remaining papers to 24th

Jamshedpur: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) has extended the date for submitting the choice to appear for the remaining papers of the ICSE/ISC Year 2020 from June 22 to 24 now.

The council has also made it clear that the choice must be given to the candidates choose their desired option and no coercion or pressure be used by the school on the students for making any specific choice.

In a circular to the heads of all ICSE and ISC Schools, the council said: “It has come to the attention of the CISCE that candidates of some schools are being coerced into making a choice, much against their wishes. Some complaints have been received by the CISCE in this respect.“

The circular asks the schools to refrain from indulging in such practices and warns of appropriate action against such schools which act in contradiction of the directives.

The council has offered all students with ICSE and ISC examinations pending in some subjects an option to either take the pending examinations in July 2020 or have their final results based on their performance in the internal assessments and marks obtained in the subjects for which examinations have already been taken.
