Jamshedpur: An uncanny gloom has descended on Kasafaliya village of Chingra panchayat in Baharagora. The villagers here are mourning the death of Ganesh Hansda, 21 year-old son of Subda Hansda, martyred during a violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops Monday last.
Ganesh was the youngest son of Subda Hansda and Kapra Hansda. His elder brother Dinesh Hansda said, ¨Ganesh had come home last on 5th December. On 27th January last, he left for Ladakh. He had joined the Indian army in 2018. His training got completed on 27th July last.¨
Ganesh studied at Kasfaliya Middle School and thereafter at Upgraded High School, Kerukocha. He passed Matriculation Board exam in 2015 and did his Intermediate studies at LBSM College, Karandih. He had also undergone three year NCC training in 2016. Later, he was directly recruited in the army at Morabadi ground. He had undergone nine month training in Danapur, Bihar.
Subda Hansda said her son had planned to get married in the next two years.
Local legislator Sameer Mohanty, BDO Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Circle Officer Heera Kumar and local police station officer in-charge Chandra Shekhar Kumar visited the Hansdas and consoled them. They assured to help the family in every manner possible.
Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Mahato has announced Rs. 1 lakh financial help for the martyr’s family.
