Wife’s complaint to MGM police leads to search for husband in dowry harassment case; Husband advised to appear in court.
JAMSHEDPUR – Officers from MGM police station posted an advertisement on Rahul Kumar Dubey’s home in Hill View Colony, next to the Suman Hotel, on Thursday.
On October 14, 2022, Riya Gope, the wife of Rahul, reported dowry harassment to the MGM police station.
Rahul fled to avoid capture by the police after the complaint was filed.
The couple got married after Riya admitted to the police that she was seeing Rahul, but instead of bringing her home, Rahul kept her in a leased house in Gokul Nagar.
According to her, tensions escalated when Rahul began gradually pressuring her to produce dowry, leading to frequent arguments.
After being subjected to continuous pressure for dowry, wife claimed, she filed an FIR against her husband.
In light of the complaint, Rahul has been asked to appear in court immediately.
