Unidentified body retrieved from Kharkai river at Baroda Ghat in Bagbera, Jamshedpur; police investigation underway.
JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic discovery was made this morning in the Baroda Ghat river of Bagbera area Tuesday morning when an unidentified body was spotted in the Kharkai river..
According to the locals, an unknown body was found floating in the river, causing a sensation in the surrounding area.
Local residents spotted the body and promptly informed the Bagbera police.
A team from Bagbera police station promptly arrived at the river bank and began the grim task of retrieving the body.
Despite questioning nearby residents, the identity of the deceased remains a mystery.
The police are now in possession of the body and have sent it for postmortem in a bid to glean more information.
According to the police, the body is yet to be identified.
Initial estimates put the age of the unknown person to be around 28 to 30 years.
