Jharkhand Congress’ Rakesh Tiwari Criticizes New Parliament House Inauguration as ‘Modi’s Stubbornness’

Rakesh Tiwari, State Secretary of Jharkhand Congress, criticizes PM Modi’s new Parliament House inauguration as a symbol of stubbornness and monocracy.

RANCHI – Rakesh Tiwari, the State Secretary of Jharkhand Congress, voiced strong criticism towards the inauguration of the new Parliament House by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his statement, Tiwari likened the event to “inauguration of Modi ji’s Hath Bhavan”, indicating a perceived display of stubbornness by the Prime Minister.

Tiwari expressed concern over the absence of opposition parties during the inauguration, suggesting that this was due to the PM’s obstinacy.

In a further dig at the Prime Minister, Tiwari criticized Modi for not having the President inaugurate the Parliament House, stating that this move constituted a historical anomaly indicative of a shift from democracy to autocracy.

The signal which he has given a place in the new Parliament House is a symbol of monarchy, not of democracy,” Tiwari noted, alluding to the placement of a symbolic Sengol in the building. This move, according to Tiwari, was an attempt to sideline the first Prime Minister of the country, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose Sengol was relocated to a museum.

Accusing Modi of attempting to eclipse the contributions of historical figures, Tiwari suggested that Modi’s dream was for future generations to forget those who contributed to the country’s development since independence, and instead focus solely on him.

“The people of the country are watching everything,” he cautioned, emphasizing that the public will have their say in the upcoming 2024 elections, deciding whether democracy will prevail, or whether a singular system will rule.
