Workshop on Employment of Local Candidates in Pvt Sector Held

Seraikela: The Jharkhand Government’s Labor, Employment, Training, and Skill Development Department held a workshop on Monday in Seraikela focused on the Jharkhand State Employment of Local candidates in the Private Sector Act 2021 Act and its related provisions.

This Act requires the state’s private sector to provide 75% of job opportunities to local youth with salaries of up to 40,000.

The State Tribal Welfare and Transport Minister Champai Soren was the workshop’s chief guest, with special guests including Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagarai, Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahto, and National Executive Member of Laghu Udyog Bharti Inder Kumar Aggarwal.

Several representatives from entrepreneurial organizations and industrial units were also present, including SN Thakur, MD of Auto Cluster, and Arva Rajkamal, Deputy Commissioner.

Speakers from various industries provided suggestions and expressed support for the government’s policy during the workshop.

Entrepreneur Rupesh Katiyar advocated for the government to provide incentives for policy compliance, while Madan Kumar suggested organizing camps to hire local youth. The Transport Minister Champai Soren emphasized the importance of entrepreneur collaboration in implementing the policy, which aims to provide employment opportunities for local tribals while reducing migration.

The Additional Commissioner Subodh Kumar concluded the workshop with a vote of thanks.
