Three Arrested in Chaibasa Gang Rape Case

Police Sent Accused to Jail After Technical Investigation

JAMSHEDPUR – Three men were arrested in a gang rape case from Chaibasa after a police investigation and were sent to jail on Saturday.

Police said the case emerged from Jhinkpani police station limits. The complaint was filed on May 6, 2026.

According to officials, the incident occurred during April. The victim alleged three villagers assaulted her inside her house.

Police said the accused entered the house in Kudapi village. The woman was cleaning her house during the incident.

Meanwhile, the accused allegedly locked the door from inside. Police said the three men then committed gang rape.

A case was registered after receiving the written complaint. Senior officers ordered immediate investigation afterward.

Moreover, police conducted the victim’s medical examination promptly. A special raiding team was also formed.

Police used technical surveillance during the investigation. The three accused were later arrested successfully.

During interrogation, all accused reportedly confessed their involvement. Police recorded their statements officially.

The arrested accused were identified as Dugud Buriyuli alias Konda. Sidiu Mundari alias Konka was also arrested.

Meanwhile, Mandru alias Jambira Gop was the third accused. All belong to Kudapi village under Jhinkpani police station.

Officials said trainee DSP Rajkumar Jeyaraju led the investigation. SDPO Bahaman Tuti also supervised the operation.

Moreover, Sub-Inspector Rajiv Ranjan Mishra joined the raids. Police officer Mahba Minj participated in the investigation.

Other Jhinkpani police personnel assisted the operation. The accused were later produced before court.

Police then sent all three accused to judicial custody. Further investigation in the case continues.
