Jamshedpur: Two new Corona positive cases have been confirmed in West Singhbhum on Saturday. With this the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in West Singhbhum has now reached 55.
Till date, 5683 samples have been collected from West Singhbhum and out of these 5646 have been tested. Out of these 55 have tested positive, while test of 28 samples are still in progress.
For now, the total number of active cases in West Singhbhum is 20, while 35 persons have been cured and discharged. There has been no death due to Corona in West Singhbhum.
There has not been even a single case of any child under the age of 10 getting infected in the district yet. Maximum, i.e. 43, infected persons have been of the age group 11 to 30, while 10 are in the age group 31-50 years. Only two persons above 50 years have got infected.
However, during the last seven days the growth rate in the district has been massive 53.41% and the doubling rate is 1.62, while these two numbers for Jharkhand are 3.73% and 18.92 days respectively.
Recovery rate for the district is 66, which is a shade higher than the state’s 60.95%.
