JAMSHEDPUR – A new chapter is set to be added to the city’s hospitality and dining sector, with Hotel Ramada in Bistupur announcing the launch of its state-of-the-art rooftop fine dining restaurant, “Umami Rooftop.”
The restaurant will open its doors to the general public from Sunday, August 2, 2026, offering residents and visiting guests an experience of world-class cuisine, exceptional hospitality and an inviting rooftop setting.
The announcement was made jointly by the hotel’s general manager, Manish Dutt, and chef Yugank Chopra, during a press conference held at the hotel.
They said the rooftop restaurant, located on the uppermost floor of the hotel, will offer a scenic view of the Steel City. Guests will be able to enjoy Indian, Asian and international cuisines amid modern decor and a tranquil atmosphere under the open sky.
Besides the food offerings, specially curated beverages, trained staff and an elegant ambience are expected to make the experience memorable for every guest visiting the venue.
At the launch event, the hotel management said Umami Rooftop is not merely a restaurant but a space where taste, quality and hospitality will come together. They added that their aim is to set a new benchmark for rooftop fine dining in the city.
The management expressed confidence that every dish served at the restaurant would prove memorable for guests owing to its taste, presentation and quality.
According to the hotel management, Umami Rooftop has been designed keeping in mind family dinners, romantic evenings, private celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries, corporate meetings, social gatherings and other special occasions.
Its contemporary decor, panoramic view of the city and calm setting are expected to position it among Jamshedpur’s leading rooftop dining destinations.
The management has invited residents to visit Umami Rooftop starting August 2 to be part of the new fine dining experience. It said the new restaurant would not only attract food enthusiasts but also give a fresh identity to Jamshedpur’s hospitality sector.
The press conference was also attended by director of food and beverage Anoop Bera, executive chef Mohammed Ilyas, senior chef Videsh Punja, manager Sushil Kumar Singh and executive housekeeping manager Shiv Kumar.
