JAMSHEDPUR – A speeding car crashed into a tree in Jugsalai, injuring several members of a family returning from a wedding.

The accident occurred early Thursday near Rang Gate in Jugsalai. Several passengers suffered injuries in the incident.

Meanwhile, the family was returning from a wedding in Seraikela. They were heading toward Sarjamda Lupungtola at the time.

However, the vehicle suddenly lost control during the journey. It then rammed into a roadside tree with force.

According to initial reports, the driver fell asleep briefly. This caused the vehicle to veer off the road.

Moreover, before hitting the tree, the car struck a motorcycle. A couple riding the bike sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the injured couple received primary treatment quickly. They were later discharged from the hospital.

In contrast, passengers inside the car suffered more serious injuries. These included elderly members, women, and children.

However, one elderly passenger is a retired railway employee. He was admitted to a railway hospital immediately.

Moreover, two other family members remain in critical condition. Doctors are continuing their treatment.

Meanwhile, police from the local station reached the site quickly. The damaged vehicle was seized for investigation.

On the other hand, officials have begun probing the exact cause. Fatigue and drowsy driving are being examined.

Moreover, such early morning accidents are often linked to driver fatigue. Experts advise taking rest before long drives.

In Jamshedpur, similar cases have been reported earlier. Authorities continue to warn drivers about road safety risks.
