RANCHI – Security agencies launched emergency checks after a bomb threat email targeted the civil court complex in Ranchi.

Panic spread at the Ranchi civil court premises on Friday morning after authorities received the threatening email.

Meanwhile, the administration immediately placed the entire court complex on high alert and restricted access. Consequently, police teams, the bomb disposal squad, Jaguar unit, and dog squad rushed to the spot.

Security personnel carried out thorough checks of court buildings, parking areas, and nearby surroundings. Meanwhile, the search operation was continuing at the time of reporting.

According to officials, the threatening email was sent on February 4 using a Hotmail account. Moreover, the email explicitly threatened to blow up the court complex.

However, no suspicious object or explosive material has been recovered so far. Meanwhile, investigation agencies are examining the matter from every possible angle.

Police have started tracing the email source to identify the sender. Moreover, officials are trying to determine the motive behind issuing the threat.
