Helper Dies After Speeding Vehicle Runs Over His Head Near Tata Motors Gate

JAMSHEDPUR – A helper employed at SAIZAR Enterprise died Monday night after an unidentified speeding vehicle struck him near Tata Motors gate.

Mantu Yadav was walking near the Telco area around 11 PM. An unknown vehicle hit him at high speed. The vehicle’s wheel ran over his head.

He died on the spot. The accident proved instantly fatal. Moreover, the vehicle driver fled immediately after the incident.

Truck driver Pramod Chaube witnessed the entire incident. He reported details to the police. However, he could not identify the fleeing vehicle.

Local residents discovered the body shortly after. They informed Telco police station immediately. Officers arrived at the scene within minutes.

Police took custody of the body. They sent it for post-mortem examination. The body remains secured at the hospital facility.

Mantu Yadav originally hailed from Bihar. He worked as a helper at SAIZAR Enterprise. Additionally, he lived locally while performing his duties.

The incident occurred in the Tatanagar industrial area. Road accidents remain a serious concern in this zone. Police are investigating the case thoroughly.

Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run vehicle. They are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas. Meanwhile, officers are recording statements from eyewitnesses.

The victim’s family has been notified. They are expected to arrive from Bihar soon. Furthermore, police have registered a case of fatal accident and negligent driving.

Industrial area workers expressed concern over road safety. Many pedestrians use this route daily. On the other hand, speeding vehicles pose constant danger.

Local residents demanded better street lighting. They also requested increased police patrolling. In addition, they called for stricter enforcement of traffic rules in the area.
