JAMSHEDPUR – An indigent person was crushed to death allegedly by a car during the Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession near Rankini Temple in Kadma on Friday. Witnesses said the victim died on the spot.

According to locals, a Swift car carrying youths in the procession ran over the person. The vehicle dragged him for some distance, causing his immediate death.

Following the accident, enraged people blocked the road near the temple. They demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the fatal incident.

Meanwhile, police rushed to the scene and began efforts to calm the crowd. Officials tried to persuade the protesters to lift the blockade.

As of the time of reporting, demonstrations were still ongoing. The situation remained tense in the area, with police presence increased to maintain order.
