JAMSHEDPUR – A house fire destroyed all belongings in Sarjamda under Parsudih police station area on Wednesday.

The blaze erupted at Sushila Purti’s residence in Sarjamda. A short circuit caused the fire inside the house. Moreover, flames spread rapidly through the entire residential structure.

All household items burned to ashes within minutes completely. The fire consumed furniture, clothes, and other belongings swiftly. However, no one was present at home during incident.

Neighbors noticed sparks and smoke rising from the house. They rushed to the spot and raised alarm immediately. Meanwhile, local residents made multiple calls to authorities urgently.

Parsudih police station received several emergency calls about the blaze. The fire department was also contacted repeatedly by residents. Furthermore, people kept calling both agencies for immediate assistance.

The fire brigade vehicle did not reach the location. Despite repeated calls, the department failed to respond promptly. On the other hand, local people took charge themselves.

“We used pipes and water to fight the flames,” residents said. They worked hard to bring the fire under control. In addition, neighbors coordinated efforts to extinguish the massive blaze effectively.

Local people displayed quick thinking during the emergency situation. They arranged water supply through pipes from nearby sources. Nevertheless, household items had already burned completely by then.

The incident occurred in Jamshedpur‘s Parsudih police station jurisdiction on Wednesday. Sarjamda residents expressed anger over fire department’s functioning after. Moreover, people questioned the department’s response mechanism during emergencies.

The delay in fire brigade arrival caused complete destruction. Similar fire incidents have occurred in the city previously. However, timely response remains a challenge for authorities.
