Fire Destroys Clothing Warehouse in Golmuri, Loss Estimated at ₹25 Lakh

Suspicion of Miscreants Behind Late-Night Blaze in Hindu Basti Area

Key Points:

  • Massive fire breaks out at Bharat Readymade Clothing warehouse
  • Damage estimated between ₹20 and ₹25 lakh
  • Locals suspect involvement of unidentified youths

JAMSHEDPUR – A major fire broke out late Monday night at Bharat Readymade Clothing warehouse located in Hindu Basti under Golmuri police station area. The blaze caused significant damage, with losses estimated at around ₹25 lakh.

According to eyewitnesses, several unidentified youths were seen near the warehouse around midnight. Residents suspect their role in triggering the fire. Around 4 a.m., locals informed the shop owner, Nihal, about the incident.

“When I reached the spot, most of the stored garments had already turned to ashes,” Nihal said. Fire tenders soon arrived and managed to bring the flames under control. However, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, residents of the area complained that drug-addicted gangs have become increasingly active in Golmuri. They alleged that such groups often engage in vandalism, fights, and other disturbances in the locality.

In recent months, Jamshedpur has witnessed several similar fire incidents, including the Amul Milk Warehouse fire and a blaze in Devendra Lok. Earlier, Mango Fish Market and shops near Sonari Airport were also gutted in major fires.

Additionally, the Fire Department recently flagged safety violations across markets, urging business owners to follow preventive measures strictly.
