Jharkhand CM directs speedy completion of the MLA residential complex, promising modern facilities and unified housing for legislators.

Key Points:

  • CM Hemant Soren inspected the under-construction MLA residential complex.
  • Facilities include health center, shopping complex, and children’s park.
  • Project expected to be completed and handed over by June 2025.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday reviewed the progress of the under-construction MLA residential complex at Jagannathpur in Ranchi. The project aims to provide modern, unified housing for state legislators, featuring facilities like a health center, shopping complex, children’s park, playground, parking, and an advanced sewage and drainage system.

Emphasis on Timely Completion

The Chief Minister instructed construction companies to expedite work to ensure timely completion and allocation of houses to legislators. “The current housing arrangements for MLAs are scattered and inadequate. This complex will offer organized, modern, and well-equipped accommodations in a single location,” said Soren. The construction company assured the completion of all work by June 2025.

Sustainability Measures

CM Soren emphasized large-scale plantation efforts within the complex to promote environmental sustainability. He reiterated the need for efficient use of resources to enhance the quality and functionality of the premises.

Benefits of Centralized Housing

The residential complex is expected to bring all MLAs under one roof, fostering better coordination and convenience. It will address the current issue of scattered housing arrangements for legislators in different parts of Ranchi.

Officials Present

The inspection was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Building Construction Secretary Arva Rajkamal, and other senior officials, who provided updates on the project’s progress and challenges.
