Jharkhand Bar Council Vice-Chair Seeks Better Infrastructure for Lawyers

Urges Law Minister to Allocate Funds for Advocates’ Welfare in State Budget

Key Points:

  • Senior advocate requests funding for lawyer welfare schemes in Jharkhand
  • Several districts lack proper facilities for advocates’ workspace
  • Push for modernization of courts and bar buildings across state

RANCHI – Jharkhand State Bar Council Vice-Chairman Rajesh Kumar Shukla has appealed for enhanced advocate welfare provisions in the state.

A senior legal expert explained the situation. “Many districts still lack basic infrastructure for lawyers,” the expert noted.

Infrastructure Needs

Several districts face facility shortages. Advocates lack proper seating and basic amenities.

Meanwhile, women lawyers need dedicated spaces. Common rooms and washrooms remain unavailable in many courts.

Moreover, young advocates require training facilities. Many areas lack proper libraries and skill development centers.

Judicial Vacancies

The letter highlighted staff shortages. Many judicial positions remain vacant across districts.

Furthermore, case disposal needs improvement. Timely resolution of matters requires more judicial officers.

Future Development

The Bar Council seeks modern amenities. This includes well-equipped bar buildings and complexes.

In addition, incentives for young advocates are crucial. This will help attract talent to the legal profession.

The proposal aligns with government initiatives. It supports the ‘Justice First’ approach recently announced.
