JAMSHEDPUR – A speeding truck crashed through the boundary wall of Tinplate Company’s residential quarters in Namdabasti area under Golmuri police station limits late Monday night.
The incident occurred when the heavy vehicle lost control and veered off course near the residential complex. “The impact was so severe that it completely damaged a section of the boundary wall,” said a security officer at the premises.
Meanwhile, local residents expressed concern over frequent accidents in the area. “This is not the first such incident on this stretch,” remarked a worried resident of the quarters.
Safety Measures Planned
The company management has decided to install additional safety barriers near the quarters. Moreover, they will enhance lighting in the accident-prone zone.
On the other hand, police have identified the truck and launched a manhunt for the driver. “We have crucial leads about the vehicle owner,” revealed an investigating officer.

Records show three similar accidents occurred in the area during the past year. However, the municipal authorities have failed to implement promised safety measures.
