JAMSHEDPUR – Banna Gupta, the erstwhile MLA of Jamshedpur West and the outgoing state minister, has turned philosophical in defeat. Turning to poetry, he said that this defeat is only a brief stopover and he would continue his struggle.
In his remark post election defeat, Banna Gupta pledged unwavering dedication to community service following his election loss.
Banna Gupta recently addressed the public with a message of resilience and gratitude after his defeat in the state elections.
He recited verses from poet Shivmangal Singh ‘Suman’ to emphasize his resolve, stating, “This loss is a pause, my life is a great struggle.”
He thanked the 95,768 voters who supported him, affirming their trust in his development initiatives.
Gupta also voiced concerns about ongoing projects in Kadma, Sonari, and Mango, stressing their importance for the city’s growth.
Gupta highlighted the significance of several major projects, including the Mango flyover, MGM Hospital’s expansion, and a world-class bus terminal.
He mentioned road widening, park construction, and community halls as vital developments that should not face disruption.
Reflecting on his aspirations for the Sonari Domuhani confluence, Gupta expressed hope that it would eventually become a key tourist destination.
In his speech, Gupta expressed gratitude towards the Congress leadership for the alliance’s success, especially praising Hemant Soren’s effective guidance.
He also acknowledged the contributions of his supporters, remarking, “A political position is just a medium for social service, not a prerequisite.”
Gupta reiterated his lifelong commitment to serving underprivileged communities and promised to continue advocacy for public welfare.
He assured the public that his office and home would remain open to address their concerns, pledging support for issues like pensions and other civic needs.
“My door will always remain open to serve people, just as before,” he added.
Gupta concluded with optimism about the formation of a strong government and vowed to champion public causes before the administration.
